Normand R. Dumaine
October 7, 1931 ~ December 18, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years OldLincoln – Normand R. Dumaine, 86, of Lincoln passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 18, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Durocher) Dumaine.
Born in Manville, the son of the late Emile and Eveline (Bergeron) Dumaine, he resided his whole life in this village.
Normand worked for the Lincoln Highway Dept. for many years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Lincoln FOPA and Alphonse Yelle post #9, American Legion. He was a die-hard Red Sox fan, loved everything about cars, and playing a good game of Hi-Lo Jack with his family.
Normand proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by his two children, Linda Menard of Manville, Roger Dumaine & his wife Carolyn Throneburg-Dumaine of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren Robert Dumaine of Tampa, FL, Matthew & Brittany Menard of Manville. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Barbara Hanley of Manville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 21st, at 11:00 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division St., Manville. Burial with military honors will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St # 306, Providence, RI 02906.
