Cumberland – Irene H. (Bolduc) Gagnon, 79, of Cumberland, died Friday, April 14, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Gerald L. Gagnon.  Mr. & Mrs. Gagnon had been married for 58 years.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Gedeas and Isola (Blanchard) Bolduc, she had lived most of life in Cumberland, and wintered for many years in Largo, Florida.

Mrs. Gagnon was a homemaker, and worked very hard raising her six children.  She was a member of the Cumberland Senior Center, loved gardening and playing shuffleboard, and was an avid golfer and bingo player.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Joanne Kelley of Cumberland, Maureen Kern of Pawtucket, Joy Delisle of Lincoln, and Robyn Gagnon of Pawtucket; two sons, Donald G. Gagnon of Lincoln and Raymond L. Gagnon of Glocester; one sister, Lucille Cerrone of Central Falls; nineteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late George Bolduc, Horace Bolduc, Gerard Bolduc, Louis Bolduc, Maurice Bolduc, Rita Caty, Constance Laroque, Anna Gauthier, Yvette Caliri, and Anita Guarino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln.  Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.  In lieu of flowers, contribution in her memory to the Mount Saint Rita Health Centre Activities Fund, 15 Sumner Brown Road, Cumberland, R.I. 02864 would be appreciated.
