Lincoln - Kathleen M. (Verzillo) Ogilvie, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on February 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 74. Born in Westerly, a daughter of the late Frank and Elsie Verzillo, she resided in Lincoln for the past fifty-four years. Kathy worked for the Town of Lincoln as an accountant in the Finance Department until retirement.
Known not only for her talent as an artist and her love of gardening, but also for her unwavering dedication to her family, Kathy found immense joy in the presence of her family and her grandchildren, Michael, Kailey, Matthew, and Alissa. Her kind spirit extended beyond her family, as she regularly contributed to causes close to her heart, such as the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As a young girl, she enjoyed doing ballet. For many years, she delighted in spending time at the family lake house on Wateman Lake, enjoying family cookouts and boat rides.
Survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Roy Ogilvie, Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be deeply missed by her daughters, Kimberly Parrott and Kerry Costello, her sons-in-law, Michael Parrott and Anthony Costello, as well as her siblings, Jeanne Marley, Frank "Thomas" Verzillo, and Nicholas Verzillo, and grandchildren, Michael Parrott, Kailey Costello, Matthew Parrott and Alissa Costello.
