Donna (Stanley) Bickford

Lincoln – Donna Bickford, 76, of Lincoln, died Friday, March 22, 2024 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.  She was the beloved wife of the late Walter “Bicky” Bickford, Jr.

Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Merwin and Doris (Moran) Stanley, she had lived in New Hampshire, Cuba, Georgia and Massachusetts, before moving to Lincoln in 2015.

Mrs. Bickford devoted nineteen years working for the School Lunch Program for the City of Taunton School Department before retiring.  Prior to that she had worked in the banking industry, worked at the Tweeter Center, Mansfield, and was a Massachusetts realtor.

Donna found joy in traveling to beachfront destinations with her late husband, gardening, solving crossword puzzles, and indulging in episodes of Seinfeld. An avid fan of Dunkin’, she also cherished the companionship of her treasured cat, Elaine.

She is survived by one son, Scott Bickford, and his wife Rebecca, of Crystal River, Florida; two daughters, Shannon Parente, and her husband Louis, of North Smithfield, and Stephanie Romanski, and her husband Michael, of Providence; one brother, Kenneth Stanley of St. Petersburg, Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.  Private burial will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts.
