Lincoln – Richard A. Fortin, 85, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Thursday, November 16, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet A. (Lehoullier) Fortin.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late William D. and Hilda (Farrell) Fortin, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 47 years.
He was the owner of W. D. Fortin Plumbing & Sprinkling Company, Pawtucket for many years before retiring in 2006. He was a URI graduate with an Industrial Engineering Degree.
Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Roselin Fortin of Lincoln; his brother, William Fortin of Madison, NH; his beloved granddaughters, Madison, Davis and Camille, all of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 20 at 8 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. in the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul, 30 Fenner Street, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
