Paul Jean Joseph Belisle
August 23, 1937 ~ October 8, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years OldLincoln – Paul Jean Joseph Belisle, 80, of Lincoln passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Janet M. (Amatucci) Belisle. Mr. and Mrs. Belisle celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this past April 23rd.
He was a son of the late Theodore and Merena (Lessard) Belisle.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, he progressed as a carpenter, and then proceeded to do what he loved the best – truck driving. He drove an 18 wheeler for numerous years before retiring.
He loved gardening and sharing the crop. His favorite vacation spot was Maine. He and his wife attended many Polka dances. He was a follower of Wrestling and attended many shows and interactions with the wrestlers.
He was active with the Lincoln Senior Center and enjoyed bus trips to the casinos and other attractions.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Charlene Peloquin and her husband Paul, and Lynne Belisle; and his beloved grandchildren, Eric and Selene Peloquin, and Lydia Belisle. He also leaves three sisters, Cecile Judson, Doris Hooper and Lilliane Boucher; one brother, Roger Belisle and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Claire Hardy and Lorraine Belisle.
His funeral will be held Monday, October 16 at 8:45 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial with military honors, will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 2-5 P.M.
