Lincoln - Zachery Bryan Smith, 33, passed in the early morning of Thursday, December 7, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence on April 3, 1990, Zachery was the beloved, first born son of LeeAnn Brigido and Bryan Smith. He was also a cherished stepson of Vivian Aruj-Smith and Timothy Gingell. Throughout most of his life, Zachery happily resided in Lincoln with his family. Zach often enjoyed the sunshine and freedom of riding in his Dad's truck, "rocking out" to music which always held a special place in his soul, and giggling around the house with his Mama.
Zachery was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 2011 alongside many loving friends. His time in school was truly special, particularly due to his incredible bond with Mr. Christopher Jones, who touched his heart in extraordinary ways. Known for his infectious laugh and contagious smile, Zachery had the remarkable ability to brighten any room he entered.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Carol Ann Brigido of Lincoln; his sister, Devon Leigh Smith of Twisp, Washington; his brother Connor T.W. Smith of Providence; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to his dedicated nurses, especially Evelyn whom was by his side for over 16 years and remains as his earth angel. We are also grateful for Lisa, Michelle and Liz, who provided his most recent care and support.
A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the International Foundation for CDKL5 Research, PO Box 926, Wadsworth, OH 44282 (www.cdkl5.com) would be appreciated.
