Cranston - William M. Park, 79, of Cranston, died Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Tracey (Keough) Park, to whom he had been married for fifteen years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Wilton M. and Camelle (Mainella) Park, he was a lifelong resident of Cranston.
Mr. Park was the owner of Cranston Auto Body for fifty-two years before retiring. Will had a storied reputation for being a masterful craftsman, doing custom car work, with an extraordinary eye for detail, and with a far reaching client base, many of whom became life-long friends. Will's kindness and ability to connect with anyone he met made Cranston Auto Body a local gathering spot for car enthusiasts.
A student of Tai-Chi for over forty years, Will studied under Peter DiBlasio in Pawtucket. He was an avid sport fisherman, often fishing for giant tuna, and was an all around "car guy". He had a big heart, and was generous to everyone around him. His life could best be described by saying that if you knew Will, your life was all the better for it, and if you didn't, you missed out on something great.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Michael W. Park of Boston, Mass.; two sisters, Suzanne Keane of Bethesda, MD, and Claudia Schneider of Chantilly, VA; and two brothers, Randolph Park of North Providence, and David Park of Barrington. He was the brother of the late Mary Park.
