Lincoln – William E. Murray, 82, of Manville passed away while he was lovingly surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Francis and Ida (Durand) Murray, he had lived in Manville for most of his life.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany before becoming an electrician
Bill was the owner of Murray Electric Company in Manville for many years after retiring from E.W. Audet & Sons, Inc.. He was proudly a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local #99.
Once retired, he kept himself busy in his garden, and he loved to share his tomatoes with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen Murray and her husband Ronald, and Jane Pichette and her husband Kenneth, all of Manville as well as his son, Steven Murray and his wife Roberta of Rye, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Alexander Murray and his wife Bianca of Lincoln, Andrew Pichette and his wife Lynnsey of Lincoln, Julie Pichette of Lincoln, and Lilie and Addie Murray of Rye, New Hampshire; and three great grandchildren, Jackson Murray, Winifred Pichette and Norah Pichette.
He will be greatly missed
