William Durvin, Jr. Obituary

Lincoln - William F. Durvin, Jr., 93, of Lincoln, died Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna M. (Baffoni) Durvin.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Wiliam F. and Helen (Bligh) Durvin, he had lived in Smithfield for many years before moving to Lincoln eight years ago.

Mr. Durvin worked as a delivery man for Fogarty Oil, Domestic Petroleum, and Roger Williams Dairy. He would later work with his son, Bill at Flash Powder Photography, helping in all facets of the business.

He was a consummate family man, who enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by two sons, William F. Durvin III, and his wife Christine, of Lincoln, and Stephen M. Durvin, and his wife Susan, of North Scituate; six grandchildren; and one great grandson. He was the father of the late Annmarie Ottaviano; and the brother of the late Thomas Durvin.

His funeral will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
