Lincoln - William F. Durvin III, 66, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Christine (Crocker) Durvin, with whom he shared thirty-seven years of marriage.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anna (Baffoni) and William F. Durvin, Jr. He grew up in Smithfield and had been a resident of Lincoln for the past 30 years.
Bill was a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Art, where he earned his bachelor's degree in photography. His passion for photography led him to own and operate Durvin & Co. Photography and Flash Powder Photo of Cumberland. Through his work, he captured memories for thousands of athletes across New England-something he took great pride in.
An avid golfer and longtime member of Lincoln Country Club, Bill was known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty. His humor was often dry and perfectly timed, and his generosity was quiet and instinctive. Above all else, he loved his family and friends more than anything and was deeply excited to welcome his first grandchild this spring. He found joy in traveling with his wife, bringing his two loyal dogs to work each day, and faithfully cheering on the New England Patriots.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Durvin-Sparrow of Johnston, and her husband, Kevin; his son, William F. Durvin IV of Sussex, Wisconsin; and his brother, Stephen Durvin of North Scituate. He was the brother of the late Annmarie Ottaviano, and a loving cousin, uncle, and friend to many.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
