Vivian F. (Gardner) Foster, 83 of Harris Ave., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter E. Foster. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Edith (Langley) Gardner.
Vivian was a very proud, lifelong resident of Lincoln. She graduated from Tollman HS in 1958. She married Walter at the young age of 19 and were married for 64 years before Walter’s passing last October. Together they raised 4 boys which never left them with dull moments. She had a 47 year long career as a Lincoln school bus driver with the last couple years as a bus monitor. She was also an active part of the town committee for helping with the Lincoln Memorial Day parade. She loved chopping her own wood, going to the casino, golfing, hiking trips, traveling, gardening and of course spending time together with family. But Vivian was most famous for her homemade frosted sugar cookies. They were a staple for all holidays and parties.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Elaine Lapre.
She is survived by her loving sons Walter of Waynesboro, TN, Bruce and his wife Sheri of Lincoln, Wayne and his husband Paul Vermette of Delray Beach, FL, and Jeff and his wife Sandra of Bradenton, FL and her cherished ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
