Theresa N. (Viens) Miles

Rumford - Theresa N. (Viens) Miles, 78, of Rumford, passed peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Tockwotton on the Waterfront, East Providence, with her loving children by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late David A. Miles. Terry and Dave were married for over 57 years, devoted to each other until his passing this past January.

Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Pierre and Bernadette (Bastien) Viens, she had resided in Rumford for the past fifty years.

For many years, She was an active member of the Rumford Jr. Women's Club, and a communicant of Saint Margaret's Church, Rumford, where she had served as a lector, sang in the choir, and taught CCD. She was an avid bird watcher, and enjoyed skiing and playing tennis.

Terry cherished her family. Despite her 13-year battle with Alzheimer's, her radiant spirit remained unextinguished, filling their lives with warmth, laughter, love, and song.

She is survived by her two children, Philip Miles (Tricia) of Cumberland and Sybil Miles-Castellone (Paul) of Lincoln, five grandchildren, Ian, Stephanie, Nicole, Ashley, and Lauren, and seven nieces and nephews. She was also the great grandmother of the late Leo (Pare), and the sister of the late Muriel Marcotte.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Visiting hours 9:30 AM-11:30AM, followed by a service at 11:30AM, concluding with a burial ceremony and reception.
