Pawtucket - Thelma M. (Bombardier) Laliberte, 98, formerly of Pawtucket and Greenville, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at the Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Burrillville. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Laliberte.
Born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Zoel and Thelma (Campbell) Bombardier, she had resided in Pawtucket and Mapleville for most of her life before moving to Greenville.
She is survived by her children Donald Laliberte (Jeanne) of Shrewsbury MA, Marianne Holmes (Kenneth Knox) of Naples FL, Michael Laliberte (Roxanne Beal) of Pawtucket RI, Tammy Morris of Harrisville RI, Joanne Audette (Roland) of North Kingstown RI, Kenneth Laliberte (Patricia) of D'Hanis TX, and Matthew Laliberte (Norah) of Newington CT; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Douglas Bombardier.
Thelma loved her family first and foremost. But she also loved a good book, a homegrown tomato, the Boston Red Sox and the Providence College Friars. And she never met a dog that she didn't like.
Her funeral and burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to HopeHealth and Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
