Attleboro - Sumner G. Leger, 85, of Hope Avenue, died Thursday, May 15, 2025 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Teays) Leger.
Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Sumner and Ruth (Reid) Leger, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Leger worked as a truck driver for State Line Scrap before retiring. He had previously operated his own sanitation business.
He is survived by two sons, George Leger, and his wife Julie, of North Providence, and Keith Leger of Warwick; one stepdaughter, Tawanda Taylor of Maryland; one stepson, Don Taylor of Attleboro; and four grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro.
