Cumberland – Stephanie (Hull) Podgurski, of Cumberland, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Podgurski. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Frank and Apolonia (Robak) Hull, she had lived in Cumberland for most of her life.
Stephanie worked as a winder at various local mills, and also worked at Puritan Peterson, before retiring.
She was an avid gardener, was deeply religious and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Marion Silverman, and her husband Alan, of Cumberland; her son, David Podgurski, and his wife Linda, of Cape Coral, FL; four grandchildren, Wendy Silverman, Rebecca Stroh, and her husband Stephen, Daniel Podgurski, and his wife Marirose; and Stephen Podgurski; and two great grandchildren, Charlotte Stroh and Bennett Stroh. She was the sister of the late Joseph Hull, John Hull, Stanley Hull, Theodore Hull, Annie Piatek, Mary Carr, Agnes Lyon, and Helen Leboeuf.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Her burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the St. Antoine Residence, Special Care Unit, 10 Rhodes Avenue, North Smithfield, R.I. 02896 would be appreciated.
