Sheila C. (Loxsom) Smith

Sheila C. Smith (née Loxsom), 77, of Lincoln RI (originally of Pawtucket, RI), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Edward "Ted" J. Smith, with whom she shared over 50 wonderful years. Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished the time spent with her four grandchildren (Everett Misto, James Misto, Claire Ferrante, and Charlie Ferrante), her two daughters and their spouses, Kara Misto and Jay Misto, and Erin Ferrante-Smith and Tom Ferrante. Sheila was predeceased by her beloved parents, Cecil "Fred" Loxsom and Claire P. Loxsom (née Murray), whom she adored and spent many blessed years loving.

In addition to her immediate family, Sheila enjoyed spending time with her extended family and friends. She shared a special bond with her close-knit group of childhood friends affectionately known as the "beach girls," as well as her dear friends from Apex and Collette Travel. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to every gathering.
Her love for life and the people around her will forever be remembered by those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in their memories.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (Donate).
