Shannon E. Daley, 39, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, after a battle with Covid-19. She was born in Natick, Massachusetts, the daughter of Diane E. McAnulty of Providence and the late Paul T. Daley.
She was preceded in death by her father and her paternal grandparents, Joan M. Daley and Edward A. Daley.
Besides her mother she is survived by her two cherished children, Ava Joan Brousseau of East Providence and Jaxon Paul Daley of Attleboro, Massachusetts; her maternal grandparents, Patricia McAnulty and her partner Alvin Davis and C. Wesley McAnulty and his partner Marie Bazzinotti; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Shannon grew up in Ashland, Massachusetts, Burrillville and Johnston and most recently resided in Providence. She went to Johnston High School and graduated with honors from the Sawyer School and worked for several companies in Rhode Island including Ross-Simons. Her last full time job was at Two Friends Farm in Attleboro where she was a manager.
She was born in 1981, the same year as MTV and music was a huge part of her life. She shared that love of music with her children, Ava and Jaxon. Some of the best times of her life were going to concerts and live club shows with her friends and loved ones. Driving around listening to music made her happy.
Shannon was a sensitive soul who loved deeply and with all her heart. She had a sly sense of humor and was quick to laugh. She was silly and charming and loved spending time with her kids. She had an artistic side and in recent years she’s been painting, drawing, making jewelry and working in mixed media.
Some of the things that she loved were going to the beach with her kids, being out in nature, sitting around a campfire or fire pit and just being with the people she cared for, family trips to the beach or the White Mountains. She always said she felt at home and at peace in the mountains.
In addition to her family, Shannon has been blessed with some extraordinary friends over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service Friday, October 8, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence. Calling hours respectfully omitted.
