Sandra Louise Gilchrist

Lincoln- Sandra (Sam) L. (Buckless) Gilchrist, 72 passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of James Gilchrist.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth H. Buckless and the late Dorothy (Burt) Colvin.  Sandra graduated from Pawtucket West High School, class of 1968 and Sawyer School of Business.  Sandra worked in the medical field for over 35 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry L. Hall of Woonsocket, and Pamela J. Dieffenbauch and her husband Chris of Wilmington, NC.    She is further survived by her sisters, Donna L. Adamo of Pawtucket, and Laura J. Wild and her husband Michael of Coventry.  Her brothers, Stephen K. Buckless of Pawtucket, Scott W. Buckless of Pawtucket and Thomas Colvin and his wife Joanne of Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She was predeceased by her late brother Jeffrey A. Buckless. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren and had several nieces and nephews.

Sandra had a deep love for birds, flowers, hiking and biking.  She had a keen eye for spotting different species of birds and types of flowers.  Her love of nature often took her to spend many weekends biking and hiking, exploring her favorite trails and paths.  She had a special connection with nature and found peace and solace in the great outdoors.

Rest in peace Sam, you will forever be loved and missed.
