Rosemarie (Bourcier) Robertson

North Providence - Rosemarie (Bourcier) Robertson, 90, formerly of North Providence, died Friday, December 20, 2024 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Robertson, Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis and Lydia (Garceau) Bourcier, she resided in North Providence for many years.

Mrs. Robertson was a registered nurse, working at Jane Brown Hospital, Providence, and as an occupational health nurse at the Providence Journal before retiring. She was a graduate of the Roger Williams Medical Center School of Nursing, and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Rosemarie will be most remembered not only for her intelligence, compassion and boundless kindness, but also for her enduring love and devotion to family, to whom she was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was beautiful both inside and out.

She is survived by three daughters, Lori A. Miller, and her husband, The Hon. Stephen M. Miller, of Lincoln; Dr.Lynne Robertson and her husband, Maurice Miller, of Sorrento, FL; and Susan Robertson of Narragansett; one son, Edward J. Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Kristin, of Swampscott, Mass.; three grandchildren, Kristen E. Garcia, Mackenzie Robertson and Reese Robertson; and two great grandchildren, Ezra M. Garcia and Chloe E. Garcia. She was the grandmother of the late Evan Robertson Miller; and sister of the late Louis J. Bourcier, The Hon. John P. Bourcier, Albert Bourcier, James R. Bourcier and Mariette H. Gilroy.

Her funeral will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
