Ronald A. Francoeur

Lincoln- Ronald A. Francoeur, 88, of Laurel Lane, formerly of Leicester, VT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.   He was the beloved husband of Claire M. (Bergeron) Francoeur for 67 years. 

Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Leonard and Antoinette (Turcotte) Francoeur.  Mr. Francoeur was a Mechanical Engineer at Brown & Sharpe and Texas Instruments for many years before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Robert Francoeur, and his grandson, Sam Francoeur.

Besides his wife Claire he is survived by his two children, Paul Francoeur (Kristin) of Leicester, VT, and Lynne Toomey (James) of Greene, RI.  He was the proud Pepere to grandchildren, Amie, Ryan, Eric, Sean, Sam, Ben and great-grandchildren, Sora, Rowan and Shay.

Ron will always be remembered for his kind and gentle nature.  He had many talents and interests including woodworking, carving, reading and gardening.

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, family and friends are invited to attend visitation hours between 12-2 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 pm at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, RI.
