North Smithfield- Robert G. Paris, 96, formerly of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at St. Antoine Residence, N. Smithfield. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille D. (Gregoire) Paris for 57 years at the time of her death. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Oscar and Marie (Trottier) Paris.
Mr. Paris was employed at Taft-Pierce Manufacturing Co. for 20 years and was an instrument maker in the Bio-Med Division of Brown University for 26 years before retirement. He enjoyed ballroom, square and round dancing with his wife, was a member of RI Strummers Band and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, his parents, his son Gary Paris and his four siblings, Roland and Leo Paris, Therese Frappier and Claire Baillargeon.
He is survived by his children, Audrey Bernier and her husband Richard of Wakefield, Paul Paris and his wife Brenda of Sandy, UT, and Bruce Paris and his wife Lori of North Smithfield; four grandchildren, Adam Bernier, Andrea Bernier, Greg Paris and Brian Paris; great grandchildren, Daxton and Hadley Bernier, Mason and Nora Paris, Logan, Serena and Wesley Paris.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd. Lincoln. Burial will follow in The Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Beacon Hospice.
