Manville – Robert G. Loiselle, 87, of Manville, died Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Claire (Boulris-Meyette) Loiselle.
Born in Lincoln, a son of the late Ernest and Eloria (Chicoine) Loiselle and his sister, the late Lucille (Loiselle) Benoit. He was a lifelong resident of Manville.
In his earlier life Bob was a mechanic and the owner of the former Citco Service Station, Manville, and the former City Line Exxon, Woonsocket. He later worked for Daimler Chrysler Corporation, Mansfield, Mass., retiring in 2000. Most recently retired from Lindy’s Tavern in North Smithfield.
Throughout his life Bob served as a volunteer firefighter with the Manville Firefighters Association, and was a member of the Par-X Club, the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks #850, and Cercle Laurier.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Burbank and her husband Edward of Manville and Denise Loiselle of Bellingham, Mass.; two sons, Robert A. Loiselle and his wife Daina of Attleboro, Mass., and Ronald E. Loiselle and his wife Alyscia of Woonsocket; six grandchildren, Amanda (Burbank) Salisbury and her husband Benjamin, Jordan Burbank, Samantha Conti, Matthew Conti, Deryk Loiselle, and Ryder Loiselle; and one great grandchild, Theodore Salisbury. In addition, Bob leaves behind many friends and family who meant so much to him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Saint James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Manville. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
