Robert Watt Greenwood, 80, of Pawtucket, died Wednesday December 3, 2025 at Orchard View Manor, East Providence.
Born in Providence, a son of John J. and Mary M. (Watt) Greenwood and named after his maternal grandfather Robert Alexander Watt. He was a graduate of Tolman High School, Class of 1963, and lived in Pawtucket for many years.
An athlete in his younger years, he was city champion in the javelin thrower and played collegiate soccer at South Hampton College, New York. In his yearbook quote at Tolman High School he wrote: "You will find me rough sir, but you'll find me ready". Bob served in the Marine Corps in Viet Nam for 24 months in the Mid-Sixties. After an honorable discharge from the service he was a union truck driver and then a machinist for Wardwell Braid before retiring.
He is survived by his two sisters: Suzanne Butler (Robert) and Ellen Howell (Thomas); and, three brothers: John (Linda), Christopher (Paula), Timothy (Debbie); and, thirteen nieces and nephews.
