Robert H. Currie

Pawtucket - Robert H. Currie, Sr., 72, of Reservoir Avenue, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Nordquist) Currie.  Mr. & Mrs. Currie celebrated their forty-eight anniversary on October 28th.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Milton S. and Dorothy (Mulholland) Currie, he lived most of his life in the city.

Mr. Currie was a Master Technician for the former Fireside Nissan, North Attleborough, retiring in 2007. 

A true family man, he was always active with his children, serving as a coach and President of the former Fairlawn Girls Softball.  He was a communicant of St. Mary Church, and the former St. Edward Church, Pawtucket, where he served as an usher.  He was an avid golfer, but his real passion was working on cars, particularly his 1970 Chevrolet Camaro.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Currie of Lincoln, Jessica Currie of East Providence, and Katie Currie of Cranston; one son, Robert H. Currie, Jr., of Pawtucket; one brother, Milton S. Currie, Jr., of Fort Myers, Florida; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Donna Pinheiro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, and his burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, R.I. 02906 would be appreciated.  For directions and guest book, please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com.  Arrangements with Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
