Richard Tassone Obituary

Richard Bruce Tassone, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 14, 2025.

He was born February 21, 1958 in Providence, RI. Richard grew up on Federal Hill in Providence before moving to Pawtucket as a teenager. He built his career of 40 years as a mechanical and aerospace engineer with Eaton, taking on multiple leadership roles and spending a few years traveling and leading a team in Malaysia for the company. His indispensable knowledge and ability to problem solve leaves an unmistakable void in the lives of those who knew him best.

Cherishing his memory are his children, daughter, Nicole Elizabeth Tassone of Providence, RI and son, Michael Christopher Tassone of Foster, RI. He is predeceased by his beloved daughter Danielle Lynn Kerbe of Montvale, NJ and survived by his granddaughter, Kiera Ryan Kerbe also of Montvale. He also leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Robin McCarron of Pawtucket, RI.
Richard leaves behind his parents, Angie and Edward Honra of Jacksonville, FL and was the loving brother to Caressa Kelley-Campbell, Sarita Brogden, both also of Jacksonville Fl, and predeceased by his brother, Joseph Tassone of Flagler Beach, FL.

Richard will be remembered for his sharp mind, unwavering ideals and ability to confidently lead those around him. He was passionate for countless hobbies; a member of the Stonybrook Rod and Gun Club in Lincoln, RI, HAM radio operator and a member of Star Chapter 353 Motorcycle Club out of Providence RI. A motor enthusiast at heart, Richard's love for anything with an internal combustion engine was apparent by his long list of treasured vehicles and projects, his most recent a Ford Model T he was building from scratch. Richard was an avid builder of all things. For years built custom computers, built his first family home in Foster, remote control airplanes and custom sheds.

To those who knew him well, Richard was a pillar of strength. His stoicism gave strength to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Glad Tidings Community Church, 111 Victory Highway, Chepachet, RI. A gathering for family and friends at Bishop Hill Tavern,2868 Hartford Avenue, Johnston, RI will follow at noon.
