Cumberland - Richard A. Lombardo, 36, of Mendon Road, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2019.
Born in Providence, the beloved son of Anthony and Charlene (Elias) Lombardo of Uxbridge, Massaschusetts, he had lived in North Smithfield and Uxbridge, moving to Cumberland recently. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving sister, Amy Parenteau, her husband Joseph, and his niece, Madelyn, of Lincoln.
He was a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket, and earned a bachelor’s degree, with cum laude honors, from Bryant University, Smithfield.
Richard was an avid sports fan, especially of the New England Patriots, and was a big movie buff. He had an encyclopedic mind when it came to movie trivia, and a tremendous amount of knowledge about sports.
He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.
He loved spending time with his family, friends and had a special connection with his niece Madelyn and her for him.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday, May 19 2019 from 2 – 5 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
