PAWTUCKET- Raymond A. Scott, 96, of Balch St., passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Isabel S. (Horridge) Scott. They had been married for 73 years.
Born in Centredale, RI, he was a son of the late Arthur and Clarice (Benn) Scott. Shortly after his birth, Ray and his family moved to Bradford, England where he spent his childhood before joining the army and fighting in World War II. He returned to the US after the war and resided in Pawtucket for over 75 years. Ray worked as a tool and die maker. He was a member and past master of the former E.L. Freeman Lodge #41, F. & A.M., Pawtucket.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenneth Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel, his two daughters, Linda W. Edwards and her husband Charles of Johnston, and Margaret K. Walsh and her husband Robert of Lincoln, five granddaughters and two great granddaughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Requiem Eucharist at 11AM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 120 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours respectfully omitted.
