Cumberland - Ralph W. Jordan, 86, of Carol Drive, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Norma (Philpot) Jordan.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Raymond and Alice (Templeton) Jordan, he had lived in Cumberland for the past sixty years.
Mr. Jordan worked as a data processor for Rhode Island Hospital for many years before retiring.
Ralph was very involved in his community, actively volunteering his time for many years with the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Rhode Island and at soup kitchens in Pawtucket and Central Falls. He was a member of Four Corners Community Chapel, where he served on numerous committees.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Debra Lima, and her husband Carlos, of Cumberland; one son, Gary Jordan, and his wife Maggie, of Lichtfield, New Hampshire; two brothers, Raymond Jordan and Robert Jordan; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Marilyn Weston and Margaret Roberts.
His funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Ralph W. Jordan Memorial Scholarship, c/o Boys & Girls Club of Northern Rhode Island, PO Box 7505, Cumberland, RI 02864 would be appreciated.
