Raisa A. (Matthews) Taft

Woonsocket - Raisa Arianna Taft, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 37.

Born on December 22, 1988, in Chula Vista, California, Raisa was the daughter of Yvonne Foster, and the late Jude Matthews, and had lived most of her life in Providence and Woonsocket..She is survived by her mother, Yvonne Foster; her four children, Alana Foster, Aaliyah Taft, Arianna Taft, and Adrian Taft; her sister, Ti-Auna Umoh; her brothers Londel Foster, Teryl Foster, and Justin Matthews; her brother-in-law, Collins Umoh; and her sister-in-laws, Ksaundra Monfort-Foster, and Louisa Foster; and her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

Raisa's laughter and smile could light up the world. She loved her family and had a huge love for pets, especially Carmella. Raisa loved working out and having her coffee early in the morning. When Raisa loves, she lets you in and has the kindest soul! Raisa's familial bonds ran deep, and she relished in the special times shared with loved ones.
