Pawtucket - R. Joyce (Bell) Feld, 84, formerly of Pawtucket, died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Feld, Sr. Mr. & Mrs. Feld would have celebrated their sixtieth anniversary this upcoming May.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Adelbert and Edith (Barker) Bell, she lived most of her life in the city.
Mrs. Feld worked as a secretary at the former Costello Brothers, Pawtucket, and later as a clerk and cashier at the former Almacs, Pawtucket, and as a teacher’s aide for the Pawtucket School Department, retiring in 2005.
Joyce was a parishioner of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pawtucket, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She loved to bake, and was well-known for her peanut butter balls. She enjoyed walking, and giving hugs to anyone she came across.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Susan J. Findesen and her late husband Robert, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts; one son, Robert E. Feld, Jr. and his wife Cristine, of Pawtucket; four grandchildren, Brandon Feld, Matthew Findesen, Brianna Feld and Brett Feld; one great granddaughter, Greylynn Feld; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Adelbert Bell, Jr., Cora Jodat, Edith Porter, Velma Adams, Beulah Dumas, Barbara Brockwell, Howard Bell, Donald Bell, Robert Bell and Joan Flinkfelt.
Her funeral will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Requiem Eucharist at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Pawtucket.
