Lincoln - Paul R. Lowell, 79, of Albion, died Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the VA Medical Center, Providence.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Victor and Blanche (Doucet) Lowell, he had resided in Lincoln for the past thirteen years, previously residing in Providence.
Mr. Lowell worked as a solderer for Rollo Manufacturing and the Imperial Pearl Syndicate before retiring.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served his country on board the U.S.S. Lexington during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his companion and and lifelong friend, Albert Mailhotte of Albion; one son, Jeffrey Lowell of Mississippi; four sisters, Claire Mercier of Cumberland, Helen Pierce of Warwick, Anita Woodruff of Gloucester, Mass., and Dianne Hopkins of Warwick; one brother, Wayne Lowell of Smithfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Sala, Henry Lowell and Leo Lowell.
His funeral will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Family and friends are invited and may attend visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00 -7:00 PM.
