Patricia M. Beekes

NORTH PROVIDENCE- Patricia M. Beekes, 90, of North Providence, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence, R.I..  She was the beloved wife of 35 years to the late Frank Beekes.  Prior to that time, Patricia was the first wife of Dr. Louis G. Lopilato, II.  Born in Everett, MA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Maclean) Murray.  She had lived in North Providence, R.I. for 20 years, previously residing in Massachusetts.

Patricia spent 46 years as a full-time administrative assistant in three companies. Her first job out of high school was at National Radio Company located in Malden, MA.; the next 3 years were spent at Hesse Easton in Brockton, MA.; her final position was for 22 years at Brockton Sole & Plastics as a full time secretary/receptionist as well as  volunteering as a secretary for the United Way within B.S.P..  Patricia loved to bowl (25 trophies later, she stopped), softball in her youth, movies, camping at a lake, touring with Frank on the back of a Honda Goldwing 1000, beaches, family cook outs, caring for her dogs, cooking/baking, ski mobiling, boating, visiting family, power shopping, quiet time relaxing at home. Patricia was an accomplished homemaker, maintained a beautiful home and took excellent care of her family. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, grandson Eric J. Boynton and her siblings, Florence Upton, Dorothy Ward, Gloria E. LeFave, Frank Murray and Jean Lorraine Williams. 

She is survived by her loving children, Nancy A. Boynton of North Providence, R.I. and Richard Beekes and his wife, Laura of Quincy, MA, her cherished granddaughter, Arianne Tanasio and her husband, Paulo of Lincoln and her sweet great grandchildren Oliver and Clementine Tanasio and Richard Beekes' children, her dear grandchildren, Jason, Stacey and Dana Beekes.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Mary Murray of Boston and Dr. Louis G. Lopilato, II of Santa Fe, N.M.

We will not have a traditional Wake. However, a Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, MA.  Relatives and friends are invited and are asked to gather at the main entrance of the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.  For directions and guestbook, visit:  www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com
