PAWTUCKET - Patrice M. Gousie, of Pawtucket, passed peacefully on Friday, September 13th, at home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Roland E Gousie and Claire M (Masse) Gousie, her sisters Rochelle Anderson and Elizabeth Belanger, and her brother Andre Gousie.
Patrice is survived by siblings Eugene Gousie, Michele Gousie Geremia, Danielle Gousie, Marguerite Gousie, Marc Gousie, Marie LoPresti, and Roland Gousie, Jr. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Patrice was an artist of remarkable talent, and worked at Balfour, Creative Modeling and Design, and most recently at The Patriot Mint. She worked in solitude, and enjoyed the company of family and friends in moderation. She was an avid reader, excelled at solving crossword puzzles, closely followed political events, and loved animals, especially cats. She approached life with curiosity, appreciation of beauty and color, and a refreshing forthrightness that some would call outspoken. Pat lived life on her own terms. She had a special connection with and abiding love for her dear brother Roland, with whom she spoke on a daily basis. She will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, RI, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Hope Health Hospice of Providence, RI.
