Norman Champagne Obituary

Woonsocket - Norman O. Champagne, 98, formerly of Cumberland and Woonsocket, died Monday, May 4, 2026 at The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannette D. (Bourgault) Champagne.

Norman was a son of the late Elphege and Alice Champagne, he had resided in Woonsocket for thirty years, and had previously resided in Pawtucket and Cumberland.

Mr. Champagne was a truck driver for the Teamsters Union, Local 251, and had also worked for Ann & Hope Stores, as a tree-trimmer, and for his father's drive-in theater. When he was living in Woonsocket, he served as the Association President for the Tower Heights Condominium Association, and would always maintain the property.

Norman loved photography and videography, and at every family event he was the "man behind the camera". He would take the pictures and videos and created digital albums for his family and friends. He could always be seen with a smile, and enjoyed telling jokes and making everyone around him laugh.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country during World War II

He is survived by his daughter, Marie St. Godard of Pascoag; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Bill Champagne and Jackie Champagne; and the brother of the late Emile and Yvonne Champagne.
