Lincoln - Michael A. Brunette, 66, of Lincoln, affectionately known as "Big Mike", died Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Fatima (Batista) Brunette, with whom he had been married for thirty-nine years.
Born in Providence, the son of Teresa (LaRoque) Brunette of Pawtucket, and the late A. Armand Brunette, older brother to Susan Brunette.
Big Mike was an avid bowler in his younger years, having scored a perfect 300 game on several occasions. He loved to spend time with his wife Fatima, his children, and grandchildren. He was a lifelong sports fan who enjoyed watching the Patriots as much as he did his own children playing in youth leagues growing up. A larger than life personality who was always quick with a joke, Big Mike was known for his poignant and witty observations of the world around him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Susan Brunette of North Providence; two sons, Nicholas Brunette, and his wife, Nicole of Holden, Massachusetts; Colby Brunette, and his wife Elizabeth of Steilacoom, Washington, and one daughter Kelsey Hamilton, her husband Joseph, of Cumberland; and six grandchildren.
From his children: Dad you were a good and decent man who taught us each how to be good and decent people in our own right. You believed in us, supported us, and loved us. You and Mom gave us all we needed to achieve all the success we've had in life. We miss you and we love you.
