Lincoln- Maureen M. (Davey) McGuinness, 87, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. “Jack” McGuinness, Jr. They had been married for 59 years.
Born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Regan) Davey, she had lived in Lincoln for over 50 years.
Mrs. McGuinness was a Principal’s Secretary at Tolman High School, Nathaniel Greene Elementary School and Shea High School before retiring. She was a member of the Pawtucket Teacher’s Alliance, Treasurer of the Bowling League and enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting Christmas stockings and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her two brothers, James and John Davey.
She is survived by her three children, Kathleen Rhault and her husband Michael of Lincoln, Kevin P. McGuinness and his wife Patricia of Bristol and John D. McGuinness and his wife Martha of North Kingstown; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 9:30am from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln. Visitation 8:30-9:30am. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
