Mark E. Buxton

Woonsocket – Mark E. Buxton, Sr., 63, of Wood Avenue, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.  He was the beloved husband of Christine (Jette) Buxton.

Born in Bangor, Maine, a son of the late Theodore and Marion (Bradbury) Buxton, he had lived in Woonsocket for most of his life.

Mr. Buxton had worked for various textile mills and for Walmart before retiring.

He enjoyed working on cars, and taking “getaways” to Twin River Casino, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Heidi Hayden of Southbridge, Massachusetts, and Holly Llorens of Woonsocket; one son, Mark E. Buxton II of Woonsocket; four sisters, Sharon Benonisen of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Chrissy Moyan of Woonsocket, Tina Beaupalant of Milford, Massachusetts, and Patsy Buxton of Woonsocket; three brothers, Verdi Buxton of Chepachet, Rex Buxton of Woonsocket, and Linwood Buxton of Providence; five grandchildren, Xena Raymond, Hevyn Raymond, Bubbie Buxton, Logan Buxton and Iris Llorens; and several nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Theodore Buxton, Carl Buxton and Nancy Senay.

His funeral and burial will be private.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  Arrangements with Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
