Cumberland - Marion (Bowden) Luby, 95, of Cumberland, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Luby.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte A. (Ashley) Bowden, she had lived in Cumberland since 1963. She was a graduate of Central Falls High School.
Mrs. Luby worked as an executive secretary for over thirty years at Spintex Corporation, Central Falls, before retiring.
Marion enjoyed knitting and embroidering, and was a lover of dogs, especially Boston terriers.
She is survived by one daughter, Jo-Ann Waltz, and her husband Stephen, of Harrisville; one sister, Gertrude Hanley of Cumberland; two grandchildren, Shawna Simas and Robert Waltz; and two great grandchildren, Aliyah and Cora.
Her funeral and burial in Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland, will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
