Providence – Maria Borino, 54, of Providence passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at home. A lifelong resident of Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Zanders) Tschuta.
Maria spent the majority of her life working in the hospitality industry, but prided herself in being a mother, sister, aunt and friend. She dedicated her life to her family and those that she loved. A quote that perfectly describes her is “those who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves.”- Sir James M. Barrie. Maria was a ray of light that warmed the souls of everyone she touched.
She is survived by one daughter, Amanda Borino of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; one son, Anthony R. Borino of New York, NY; a fur baby, Lewey of Providence, RI; two sisters, Sonja Tschuta of Johnston and Margarite Tschuta of North Providence; six brothers, Rudiger Tschuta and John Tschuta both of Providence, Frank Tschuta of Meriden, CT, George Tschuta of North Providence, Andreas Tschuta of Pawtucket, and Stefan Tschuta of Nuremberg Germany; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Peter Tschuta.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 at 2pm at 105 Metcalf Street in Providence. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
