Malcolm Meiklejohn Obituary

Lincoln - Malcolm W. "Mike" Meiklejohn, 97, formerly of Sheffield Drive, died Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Kent Regency Center, Warwick. He was the husband of the late Ruth C. (Spooner) Meiklejohn.

He was raised in Pawtucket, and was the son of the late William Meiklejohn, Jr. and Martha G. (Minard) Meiklejohn. He was a sixty-five year member of Free & Accepted Masons and a twenty-five year member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Mike worked for forty years for the former Fleet Bank, retiring in 1987 as a Regional Manager. He was an avid golfer, duckpin bowler and cribbage player.

He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Fales, and her husband Gregory, of West Greenwich, Dorothy Springmann, and her husband Kurt, of Arlington, VA, and Carrie Teixeira, and her husband Jeffrey, of Charlotte, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Geoffrey Fales, Sarah Springmann and Rachel Springmann. He was the father of the late David Meiklejohn and Derek Meiklejohn; and the longtime companion of the late Beatrice L. Riley.

His funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Almoner's Fund of the Scottish Rite, 2115 Broad Street, Cranston, RI 02905-3396 would be appreciated.
