Lincoln - Luz Eneida Perez, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the age of 63, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 26, 1961, in Ingenio Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, to Victor Perez and Maria Luisa Rivera, Luz lived a life rich with love, kindness, and devoted service to others. She had resided in Lincoln for over thirty five years, previously residing in Woonsocket.
Luz proudly worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), embodying a spirit of compassion that touched the lives of countless patients and families. She also devoted her time as a foster parent to many children in need opening up her home and spreading all of the love and kindness she had in her heart. Her commitment to caring for others was paralleled by her devotion to her family, which included her children Carlos Vasquez, and his wife Samantha, of Pascoag, Natasha Cabral of Johnston, Dasheira Perez, Jermaine Perez, Norah Perez and Noah Perez of Lincoln; her sister, Dalila Lambert of Woonsocket; and her cherished grandchildren Thalia Vasquez, Juliana Vasquez, Camila Cabral, Cassio Cabral, Jazsleen Rivera and Sophia Papaioannou.
Luz was a dedicated member of Awakening Church in Smithfield, she found strength and community in her faith. Her passion for cooking delighted many family gatherings, where she shared not only meals but also her love. She embraced the beauty of nature through long walks in Lincoln Woods, finding peace and solace in the embrace of the outdoors. Luz's warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her. As we remember her life, we celebrate the joy she brought into the lives of her loved ones and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
