Manville - Lorraine E. (Laurence) Lanctot, 87, of Manville, died Sunday, June 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of Joseph E. Lanctot, to whom she was happily married to for the past sixty years. Lorraine and Joe were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1963.
Born in Manville, a daughter of the late Lucien and Emma (Stott) Laurence, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mrs. Lanctot worked as an assembler at the A.T. Cross Co., Lincoln before retiring. She was a graduate of St. Clare High School, Woonsocket.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Peter Lanctot and his wife June of Foxborough, Mass, James Lanctot and his wife Karen of Woonsocket; Daniel Lanctot and his wife Leslie of Central Village, Conn., and Joel Lanctot and his wife Laurie of Manville; and one sister, Gloria Flaherty of Manville. Lorraine leaves behind eight grandchildren, Kristina Lanctot, Aimee Desmeule, Allie Lanctot, Evan Lanctot, Adam Lanctot, Nick Lanctot, Ian Lanctot and Noah Lanctot as well as one cherished great grandchild, Hanna Desmeule. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Patricia (Messore) Lanctot.
Family and friends will honor and remember Lorraine's life by gathering for visiting hours at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, on Thursday June 13, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Her funeral will be celebrated Friday, June 14, 2024, at 9:00 am from Bellows Funeral Chapel, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Manville.
