Chepachet - Linda R. (Franklin) Globa, 76, of Chepachet, died Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Miriam Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving friends and family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Frederick S. and Margaret (Cote) Franklin, she resided in Pawtucket for most of her life, as well as Cape Cod, moving to Chepachet eighteen years ago.
She was the sister of the late Frederick A. Franklin. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Pawtucket.
Linda worked as a school crossing guard for the City of Pawtucket before retiring. She was a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Mashpee, Mass.
Linda was a loving grandmother and loved to spend time with her grandkids at the library, the park, and church. She enjoyed visits from her granddog, Truman. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and ice skating, as well as going to the beach and horseback riding.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Robbins and her husband Frank, of Pomfret, CT; her sister, Judith Dziadosz and her husband Stephen of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Celeste Robbins and Landon Robbins, both of Pomfret, CT; and her cousins and two nephews.
