Attleboro, Mass. - Lillian (Bedford) Houle, 85, of Attleboro, formerly of Cumberland, died Friday, October 11, 2025 at Stillwater Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Greenville. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul C. Houle.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Percy T. and Lillian (Beardwood) Bedford, she was raised in Pawtucket, graduating from William E. Tolman High School, Class of 1957. She had resided in Cumberland for many years before moving to Attleboro in 2005.
Mrs. Houle worked in the warehouse at Adams Drugs, and would later earn her CNA Certificate and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Woonsocket Health Center for twenty years before retiring. She was a former member of Memorial Baptist Church, Seekonk.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Condon of Needham, Mass.; her step-son, Paul C. Houle, Jr. of Warwick; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Condon and Daniel Condon. She was the mother of the late Catherine Bitzer, and the sister of the late Dorothy Flowers, Ruth Buben, Alice Pontarelli, Edward Bedford, Kenneth Bedford, William Bedford and Barbara Kane-Catlow.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12 Noon in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
