Conway, South Carolina – Leo A. Renaud, 79, of Conway, South Carolina and formerly of Woonsocket and Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Wareham, MA. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (McCreadie) Renaud. Mr. and Mrs. Renaud had been married 41 years.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Emile and Pauline (Blanchette) Renaud, he grew up in Woonsocket and lived in Pawtucket before moving to Conway, South Carolina 6 years ago.
Mr. Renaud was a tour bus driver for many years working for Pawtuxet Valley Bus Company, Conway Bus Company and Town & Country. He later worked as a truck driver for Ocean State Job Lot. After moving to South Carolina, he worked there as a school bus driver.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959-1963 during Vietnam War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Leo Renaud (Lynn) of Woonsocket, Anthony Renaud (Maureen) of Douglas, MA, and Eric Renaud (Jody) of Tampa, FL; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Klink of Belmont, NH, and Colleen Klink (Arnold) of Lincoln; one daughter, Diane Renaud (Kathleen) of Holyoke, MA; one sister, Noella Lavallee of Blackstone, MA; three brothers, Normand Renaud of Woonsocket, Joseph Renaud of Johnston, and Maurice Renaud of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 27 at 10 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. His burial, with military honors, will be private in Rhode Island veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
