Katherine S. (Simmons) Eleoff

North Providence – Katherine S. (Simmons) Eleoff, 73, of North Providence passed away peacefully Sunday, September 3, 2023 at home. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence D. Eleoff. Mr. and Mrs. Eleoff were married 51 years this past June.

   Born in Norwich, NY, a daughter of the late Bilyou F. and Leopoldine “Poldi” (Langauer-Fiala) Simmons, she had lived in North Providence for the past 17 years.

   Mrs. Eleoff was an information referral specialist for Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL) before retiring in 2014. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English and her Master’s Degree in Education.

   Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her two loving daughters, Dr. Sara Eleoff Van Durme of Baltimore, MD and Liza Kate Eleoff of Fairfield, CT; three brothers, Stephen Simmons of Norwich, NY, Mark Simmons of Naples, FL and Richard Simmons of Fort Worth, TX; four beloved grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
