Karen L. Pappas

Pawtucket - Karen Pappas, 71, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, after a short illness. She is survived by her beloved nephews, Michael Pappas and Stephen Pappas and his wife Heather, and her much beloved godson, Jaden. She also leaves her aunts, Georgia Moretti, Anastasia DeLuca and Vernie Pappas, as well as many cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Bertha Pappas, two brothers, Michael and Stephen, and her uncles, Ted, Michael, Nick and Alec.

Karen was always cheerful despite her long history of diabetes and worsening heath. She never complained and was well liked by all who knew her. She loved arts & crafts and especially card games. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Rhode Island Reds in their heyday, and the Providence Bruins. Most of her life was spent around sports, and she enjoyed watching baseball and football as well.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket.
