Pascoag - Karen E. (Kelly) Freitas, 60, of East Wallum Lake Road, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Michael Freitas. Michael & Karen Freitas had been married for thirty years.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of Joan (Smith) Kelly of Lincoln and the late Francis P. Kelly, she had lived in Pascoag for the past thirteen years, previously residing in North Providence.
Karen loved to entertain and was a wonderful cook. She loved being a mother, and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Ariana E. Freitas of New Hampshire, and Gabriella N. Freitas of Worcester; two sons, Eric Hamilton of Houston, Texas, and Jeffrey Shabo of Providence; one brother, Francis P. Kelly, Jr. of Lincoln; and one granddaughter, Mia Cruz. She was the sister of the late Kathleen Kelly and Susan Napolitano.
Her funeral will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 at 9:45 am from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Sunday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Private burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
