Woonsocket - June A. (Toppin) Ward, 98, formerly Cumberland and Lincoln, died Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the loving wife of the late Samuel F. Ward.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Thomas and Harriet (Ainsworth) Toppin, she was raised in Pawtucket and lived most of her life in Lincoln and Cumberland. Mrs. Ward worked as a secretary for Weight Watchers before retiring.
She was a parishioner of Christ Church, Lincoln, where she was a member of the Mr. & Mrs. Club and the Women's Guild.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen Aldrich and her husband Douglas of Woonsocket; one son, David N. Ward and his wife Shirley of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Kimberly Allard, Nicole Fields and David Lavergne; and six great grandchildren.
A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Christ Church, 1643 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
